You have the statutory right to request permanent deletion of your FindBack account and all associated personal records at any time.
Permanent & Irreversible Action
Requesting account deletion will permanently remove your login credentials, active and past lost/found reports, uploaded images, private chat messages, and trust score history from our active servers and search indexes.
How to Delete Your Account
1Method A: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)
Open the FindBack Mobile App → Navigate to Profile → Legal & Privacy → Delete Account & Data. Review the confirmation prompt and tap “Permanently Delete My Account”. Deletion is executed immediately.
2Method B: Email / Web Data Request
If you have uninstalled the app or no longer have device access, send an email from your registered account email address to:
Please include your registered email address and full name. Our data protection team will verify the request and complete permanent erasure within 7 business days.
Data Retention & Purge Details
- Personal name, email, password hash
- All active lost/found listings
- All photos, images, and AI vector embeddings
- Private messaging conversation threads
Anonymized transaction receipt records and security audit logs are retained for statutory legal and tax compliance obligations before permanent destruction.
Notice for Active Google Play Subscribers
Deleting your FindBack account does not automatically cancel Google Play or Apple App Store recurring subscription billing. Please ensure you cancel your subscription through Google Play Subscriptions to prevent subsequent renewal charges.
