FindBack Terms of Service & EULA

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By creating an account, downloading, accessing, or using the FindBack application or web portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age in your territory) to use FindBack. If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Items

FindBack is designed exclusively for reconnecting lost and found personal belongings in good faith. You strictly agree not to:

• Post Prohibited Goods: Firearms, ammunition, explosives, illicit narcotics, prescription drugs, stolen merchandise, or hazardous materials.
• Post Fraudulent Reports: Submitting fake lost or found claims, spoofing GPS coordinates, or attempting to claim belongings you do not own.
• Extortion & Ransom: Holding a found item hostage or demanding extortion fees/ransom before returning property is strictly illegal and will result in immediate termination and referral to law enforcement authorities.
• Harassment: Using in-app communications to threaten, stalk, defame, or abuse other users.

3. Safe Physical Handover Guidelines & Custody Disclaimer

All in-person handover meetings occur at the sole discretion and risk of the users. FindBack strongly recommends conducting all handovers during daylight hours in public, monitored safe exchange zones (such as police station lobbies, transit customer service desks, or well-lit shopping plazas). Never meet in isolated areas or private residences.

4. In-App Subscriptions & Google Play Billing Terms

FindBack offers optional premium subscription tiers (e.g., FindBack Pro, Business Shield) unlocking benefits such as unlimited active reports, instant neural-vision push alerts, 10km priority broadcasts, and verified trust badges.

• Payment & Billing: Subscriptions purchased through Android apps are processed and billed by Google Play In-App Billing (or Apple StoreKit on iOS). Payment is charged to your store account upon confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Cancellation: You may cancel auto-renewal at any time via your device's Google Play Subscriptions management screen. Your premium access remains active until the end of the paid cycle.
• Refunds: Subscription purchases are non-refundable directly by FindBack. Refund requests are evaluated according to Google Play Store or Apple App Store refund policies.

5. AI-Assisted Matching & Probabilistic Disclaimer

FindBack employs artificial intelligence algorithms to calculate match scores based on text similarity, visual vector embeddings, and spatial-temporal proximity.

Match scores (e.g. “96% Match Candidate”) are probabilistic indicators and do not constitute a legal guarantee of item ownership. Users must independently verify ownership through private identifying attributes prior to handing over property.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FindBack Technologies Inc., its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from lost property, failed recoveries, handover disputes, or unauthorized access to user accounts.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be resolved via binding individual arbitration.
